As you approach the portal, Raphael will appear along with his subordinates Yurgir and Korrilla. He’s significantly easier to handle without his Soul Pillars and demon hoard, so the fight should get easier once you’re able to isolate him. Once you receive the ritual item, you must pass the puzzle to unlock the House of Hope. Once you use the key and nab the Orphic Hammer, the whole house will go into alert. So make sure you’re prepared for a fight and to make a hasty retreat before grabbing the hammer.
Utilize Radiant spells, particularly Spiritual Weapon, to inflict “Thwarted Consumption” on pillars (but not Raphael himself), to prevent him from soul consumption. After destroying a pillar, shift characters to others and focus on healing during Raphael’s attacks. Once all pillars are down, strategically position melee and ranged characters around Raphael to optimize the battle. You need to keep these clothes on during your time here, or multiple enemies spawn and everyone turns hostile. Agree to help Hope, and she’ll tell you where to look for the Orphic Hammer. Hope pops up again and tells you the Archivist is the key to getting the Orphic Hammer, but there’s a catch. Helski will sell all of the required components to you, but she’ll charge an outrageous 20,000 gold.
